I got into an accident, what do I do?
Call the police and get a report filed. If the police will not respond, exchange insurance information and get a written statement from all parties involved as well as witnesses and detailed photos of damages. If not drivable, call us and we will arrange to have your vehicle towed to our shop.
Am I required to get more than one estimate for my insurance company?
No, you are NOT required by law to get more than one estimate.
Do I have to go where my insurance company directs me?
No, you have the right to choose the body shop of your choice
Do I need an appointment for an estimate?
No, you do not need to schedule an appointment for an estimate. Most estimates take about 15-20 minutes to complete, depending on the extent of the damage. Please stop by for a free estimate during our business hours.
How do I set up an insurance claim?
You will need to contact your insurance company and report the accident. Tell them you choose to have your repairs done at Certified Auto Body Center. Contact us directly and our service advisors will guide you through the process.
Do I pay my deductible to you or my insurance company?
Upon completion of the repairs, when you come to pick up your vehicle, we collect the deductible on behalf of the insurance company.
Can you help with rental car arrangements?
Yes, we work with Enterprise Rent a Car. We will arrange for you to be picked up when you drop off your car for repairs and dropped off when the repairs are complete.
Can other repairs or services be done on my vehicle while it is in the shop?
Yes, please notify your advisor of the repairs or services that you would like performed and we will make the necessary arrangements.
If my vehicle’s frame is damaged is it a total loss?
No. A car is a total loss only when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance company’s determined value of your vehicle. Our highly trained technicians, with the aid of our computerized frame measuring system, can return your vehicle to its original factory specifications. If it is determined that the frame section is bent beyond repair, the frame can be removed and replaced.
Will the parts be ordered before I drop off my vehicle?
Yes. We order your vehicle’s parts before your scheduled drop off date. However, we may have to order additional parts for damage that becomes apparent after your car is disassembled in the shop.
How long will the repairs to my vehicle take?
Quality repairs begin with a detailed written estimate. Our trained estimators make a practice of anticipating problems before they arise. However, damage is often hidden and cannot be discovered until your vehicle has been disassembled. If this happens, your vehicle’s completion date may need to be revised. We will keep you informed throughout the repair process, and we assure you we will return your vehicle to you as quickly as possible.
What is paint less dent removal?
Paint less dent removal (PDR) is the process of removing dents, dings, creases, and hail damage from vehicles without affecting the original paint finish. PDR is much quicker and less expensive than traditional repair methods.
Can you match the factory paint color?
We guarantee in writing that the factory color will be matched, as long as all painting is completed in accordance with factory suggested paint procedures. We use the finest automotive paints and processes available.
Can I wash my car right after I pick it up?
Yes, but you shouldn’t need to! We will wash your car after it is painted. However, you may wash the vehicle by hand with cool water and a very mild car wash solution using a soft cloth or sponge. Do not use a commercial car wash for the first 30 days because stiff brushes or sponges could mar the finish and damage the surface. Do not wax or polish the vehicle for 90 days.
Is there a warranty for the repairs to my car?
All repairs are backed by a LIFETIME written warranty, given to you at the completion of your repair.
